White Pines II features an old growth stand of pinus strobus or the northern white pine; towering up to an impressive 90 feet tall, although precolonial trees had been known to grow far taller. These evergreen beauties are native throughout the upper Midwest, Canada, and the east coast. Inspired by White Pines Forest State Park in Ogle County, Illinois. 

The State Park series features the varied landscapes found throughout the Midwest and is representative of the vastness of the American landscape. Each print features one hand-carved block and two layers of abstract color fields created using type-high wood blocks. All three layers are letterpress printed. 

Available framed or unframed - frames are solid wood and made in the USA.
