Red Oak features a majestic Northern Red Oak tree at the water’s edge. These trees are native to the eastern Midwest and southern Canada extending to the East Coast and Nova Scotia. This print is inspired by a handsome specimen found along Pierce Lake in Rock Cut State Park in Winnebago County, Illinois.

The State Park series features the varied landscapes found throughout the Midwest and is representative of the vastness of the American landscape. Each print features one hand-carved block and two layers of abstract color fields created using type-high wood blocks. All three layers are letterpress printed.

Available framed or unframed - frames are solid wood and made in the USA.
